More Galaxy S9 Exynos vs Snapdragon benchmarks leak, top the iPhone X score

After seeing Samsung"s newfangled Exynos 9810 chipset that will be in the Galaxy S9 make the benchmarking rounds yesterday with 4GB RAM, today brings us the Galaxy S9+ appearing on AnTuTu with a Snapdragon 845 on board, and 6GB of the stuff.

This is arguably the handset that leaked not long ago, and scored similar to 9810 in the multi-core tally, but much lower in single core, so what else are we learning about it from AnTuTu"s post today?

Well, the screen resolution of the SM-G965 handset (S9+) won"t be 1080 x 2020 pixels, as is depicted here, since the test is run in a Full HD+ regime on AnTuTu, yet this resolution returns the same 18.5:9 screen ratio that the S8"s 1440 x 2960 pixels display sports, so that"s more like what we will have in the end.

The 6 GB RAM amount is seemingly exclusive to the S9+, as all benchmarks of the SM-G960 (S9) we"ve seen so far, are listing the smaller flagship with 4GB RAM. They both share 64GB of base storage, though, and, of course, the processing power suppliers.

There are no details on the camera, but the S9+ should land with a 12MP variable F2.4/F1.5 aperture + 13MP F1.5 dual camera set, for the first time in a Galaxy S-line phone. Make of these benchies what you will, but the S9 and S9+ will be powerful beasts no matter what chipset lands in which carrier model.

As you can see from the S8+ and Note 8 benchmarks below, the S9 and S9+ score much higher both on AnTuTu, as well as Geekbench, no matter if they have a Snapdragon 845, or Exynos 9810 inside. If you add the iPhone X in our tool below, the leaked AnTuTu score of the S9+ will beat that, too, though the Geekbench tally of the A11 tops them all still.
